Is it a sin to be a girl?

It is very painful
Please rescue me from this fiery hell
And Grant me freedom

Please get back my lost smile
Is it a sin to be a girl?
I didn’t choose my gender

Why do men merely use me?
And throw me away like garbage?
It is very painful

Please understand
I am a human too
With heart; dreams

  3. A very good question asked... something which I have been wondering since a long, long time.

    But I know the answer.

I was expecting a haiku but as a poem, this stands good. :)

  5. It's not a sin but it sure is hard sometimes.
"Is it a sin to be a girl?" - that is a MOST powerful line as evidenced by how many of us focus on that.

  9. so much abuse and exploitation of women, particularly in some mid-East countries....doesn't pay to be born a woman in China either...

  10. No Satya! It's a privilege! The fact that girls attract that problems start. Your message is very clear - stay cool and not to invite trouble! Great thoughts!

  12. No sin in femalehood... only falsehood shared by those who wish to opress women... Food for thought here. TY!
