During the lonely hours
of that depressing night, she flipped through the pages of her dear diary. Several
pages were fresh and unwritten. Her daily journey reflected her uneventful
life.
She sighed and stared
the vacuum. She wished that her life was as happy and as eventful as it used to
be once. She longed for those colorful dreams that multiplied and that subtle
hum of a lovely song that always played in the back of her mind.
A rainbow always dangled
in her light blue sky and the sun was always mellow bathing her with golden
light. First rain drop always tickled her and the smell of first rain used to
mesmerize her.
Have to stopped to
entertain her or has she stopped noticing them, she didn’t know.
With a trembling hand
and heavy heart, she drew her lovely dairy closer and let her mind pour through
the ink of her pen. The sound of nib on the white sheets of her dairy consoled
her.
She knew what she had
missed... It was not the love she had lost or the friends who moved on...
What she missed was herself...
She realized that she
had abandoned herself...
She promised that she
would not continue with the folly...
That night she slept
peacefully...
A dreamless sleep!
Lovely!! The concluding part brings in a lot of relief.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of a famous quote : The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.”
― C.G. Jung
That famous quote reflects a reality...
