He
saw her walking towards him. They were meeting after a decade. She was his
first love. But that was during college and they weren’t teenagers anymore.
He
shifted his positions as he stared at her. She looked the same. Will she ever age,
he wondered.
As
she neared, he felt thousands of butterflies fluttering in his stomach.
As
she came closer, he noticed that her eyes were moist.
Sometimes,
words are not needed. Many times, silence speaks. It was one such time.
In
no time, they hugged each other.
Unmindful
of many years that passed, the love was intact.
There are some relationships... which are not tainted by the passage of time. A very lovely write.

DeleteAlthough I'm married to the man I love, I have friends I haven't seen for many years but with whom I would immediately feel at home if I saw them again.
