he joy of being with family and friends is
unbound. Being with loved ones is always an excuse to indulge ourselves in
royal luxury. The similarities that we share and the dissimilarities we live
with owing to the love we share is something very endearing.
But, as times ticks and as we start becoming (assuming)
more and more busy, life changes radically. We convince ourselves that solitude
is bliss.
Many times we become so self-engrossed that we
stop caring about other people and how they feel. We start hurting people with our silence and
by ignoring them.
One fine day, when we wake up from our
self-centered (though most of the times we call it “depressingly lonely life”),
we feel alone. We wish that someone was there to share our joys and sorrows
with. We understand that we have ample money now, but there are not many with
who we can share that. There are no friends and extended family to spoil with
well-chosen gifts and sumptuous meals at renowned restaurants. We feel
abandoned. But what is done is done! Revocation of our past actions reaps no
fruits; may be rotten fruits!
Such feelings only heighten on days like these
– the festival days!
Today is Diwali – A day which tempts us to
wear new dress, eat lip-smacking sweets, share little gossips, discuss latest
fashion and movies released, who-is-dating-who in movie world and so on.
And today, all of you who have abandoned your
loved ones... who have taken others for granted... ignored the phone calls and
pings of loved ones... who thought people who care for you are actually being
nosy... and important of all, if you have avoided others by giving the excuse
of being busy or I-am-like-this crap, then please WAKE UP!
Finding people who care for you is rare... And
important days without the wishes of loved ones are weird.
Money can wait... If you can work for 12-15
hours a day for your career... you can spare a few five minutes for those
little hearts who are waiting for your sweet-nothing...
So...
On this Diwali day, refresh your contacts...
Rejuvenate yourself...!!!
Happy Diwali J
But please be safe!!
Happy Diwali to you and family!
