Shadow-like

As the ship started sailing, she occupied a window seat and let herself get lost in the world of thoughts. The serenity around and the mellow rays was soothing her eyes. But her mind was going through an emotional roller-coaster ride.

But this time she was determined to let go off the past. She compelled herself to wake up from dream. The fantasies was a fallacy, she told herself.

After all, she was angry at herself. She wanted to be happy like others. She also pined for a normal life… a family… love and children.

Her first love, however, followed her like a shadow.

  1. Dear Satya,

I'm intrigued. Sounds like she's trying to recover from a broken relationship and is having trouble moving on. You've captured the emotional warfare in a few words.

    shalom,

    Rochelle
