Wise with Wine!

Thanks Rochelle
http://rochellewisofffields.wordpress.com/

It was a night meant for self-indulgence.

So she sat there sipping white wine, enjoying the soft music that was played, in the dimly lit restaurant.

As more wine started mixing with her blood, she was taken off to a world of her own... Thoughts of people she loved, choices she made and pain that she endured suffocated her little heart.

She sighed and wondered when the happy days would dawn…

She wondered when someone, who was brave enough for a lifelong commitment would walk into her life.

There was vacuum within, but she tried to concentrate on the life around…

And she continued to sip and let the wine make her wiser!

PS: Thanks Rochelle for this wonderful image prompt

  1. Dear Satya,

I wonder if the wine really makes her wiser. At any rate she can mellow out and enjoy the music. Nice one.

    Shalom,

  4. Lots of people have thought that wine or other drinks or drugs made them wiser. I think your story rings very true, unfortunately.

  9. Sometimes a glass of wine does more harm than good... other times, it softens the blows. Nice job setting a mood here.

  10. Not too much wine though... it does blur the raw edges, but only for little while.
    Well done
