My Thoughts
Some movies entertain you. Some makes you think. Some awes you. Some has good screenplay. Some others have awesome dialogs. Few others have actors who showcase exceptional acting.

PK is a movie that falls into all of the above categories. It makes you laugh and think at the same time. It challenges our beliefs and makes us think differently.

PK is all about an alien who lands in Mother Earth. Within few minutes, his remote to recall his spaceship is stolen! The entire movie is about PK’s desperate attempts to find his remote and go back to his home.

PK, being an alien, tries to understand and learn everything from scratch. The concept of money… art of telling lies… interpreting the different meanings of same word uttered in different situations… above all, the existence of different religions, several Gods, varied customs and huge number of languages.

The screenplay is super-swift and well-woven… Dialogs are smart which makes you laugh and think… The background score is brilliant… The songs are nicely choreographed and rightly placed. Although “Love is Waste of Time” seemed to have hangover of Zoobie Doobie (from Three Idiots).

Anushka Sharma as Jaggu is brave and cute. Her clothing looks so wearable and nice. Sushant Singh Rajput has very few scenes. But he looks fresh and charming. Sanjay Dutt has a big heart. Boman Irani comes for a couple of scenes. Saurabh Shukla as the Godman is calm and have done a good job. Ranbir Kapoor in a cameo is a delight - like a sweet dessert after a hearty meal.

The show stealer doubtlessly is Aamir Khan. He is above and beyond. He fits into the skin of alien and steals our hearts. Although I have to tell you that the way he runs reminded me of Vikram in Pithamagan.

In short, I have all praises and no complaints about the movie. This is easily one of the best movies of the year. In recent years, Aamir Khan has delivered a marvel at the year-end which surpasses all others; this is one is no different.

“He loved me enough to let me go” – These words are sculpted in my heart. So is this wonderful movie.

Don’t miss it. A best way to spend this vacation times with your family and friends.

  2. Yeah, one good movie after a long time. It was worth the money we paid. I'm glad that we have movies that have social responsibility even these days. I'm glad with everything about this movie. This era needs more of such.

  6. I saw the movie but not as great as you make it out to be!!.It is a lighthearted movie to be enjoyed without dissecting much. The main actors have done well. The nakedness of an alien was jarring and unnecessary. Its absence would not have affected the film in anyway. The last scene of Ranbir was superfluous and unnecessary.

  7. Movies if have fun-giving light scenes that much tautness will be released from our mind.I feel that a movie should be a medium for relaxing.

    1. I also believe so... but if nice thought provoking ones are made in an entertaining manner, it would take movies to another level...

      Thanks Rudra :)

  8. Movies like this "restore my faith" in Bollywood. Although I am yet to see it, I'm sure it is going to be a good movie. And the fact that the hashtag #BoycottPK has been doing the rounds lately, I secretly wish that Bollywood continues to dish out such movies that prick. :)
