I Need You…

I just need you…
Like mother’s touch
Father’s support
Lover’s hug
Baby’s smile

I just need you…
            Like the gentle air;
            Which helps me breath. Live.
            Like the mighty Sun;
That kills the darkness. Fear.

I really need you…
My dear book…
Every night;
So that I don’t feel alone when I sleep.
Every day;
So that I don’t feel bored when I am awake!

  1. Is it just "the book" or books to be seen in plural?

  6. A wonderful progression in this piece - almost like 'growing up' - finding what we need to comfort and soothe ourselves..and books can make wonderful parents

  8. This poem really made me smile. At first I thought you were talking about a person, and then I find out you were talking about a book. I love the progression. Sometimes a book is all a person needs. Smiles!
