Until you came…

Island I was
Surrounded by myself
Enwrapped in dreams.

Cocooned in a world of my own
I sang and danced.
I smiled and cried.

Until you came…

But when you left,
I didn’t like my little island
Its beauty hurts; so does its perfection.

I don’t relate to them anymore.
Take me back to realty, my love
I am feeling suffocated!

  7. Sometimes, it is better to be alone in your little island, but love happens. Sometimes makes you happy, sometimes sad. You have crafted this really well.

  14. Relationships and new experiences are fantastic things, but yes... the holes they leave when they are gone can be a killer. Your poem does a fantastic job as expressing that kind of loss.
