What I think

This time in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot, Greg is forced to take part in sports. He believes that he is bad at sports and is quite sure that he would not be selected in any team. But then, he is proved wrong! He is forced to practice and play. And we are taken into the few months into the tournament season where Greg along with his bad teammates play games, losing back-to-back. Will the underdogs win?

I missed Rowley who was practically absent. So was Manny and Rodrigo. There were a few honorable mentions about them, if I may say. But they don’t play any active part. The portion with Greg’s dad was hilarious and his mom continues to be THE mom with a mission.

I also missed those moments of chuckles and famous quotations that we are usually subjected to in a Wimpy Kid series. This time there were no other accounts except for the sports and the importance thereof. It was for sure keeping me on edge and making me turn page after page. But the satirical and comical soul was missing.

Definitely a book to sit back and read over a couple of hours. Entertaining as always…
