Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

I bought this book few months before because of all the good things i had heard about it. I didn't know the story (usually i like to know nuances before i start).

When it started in the usual - I am 30. I am single. I eat and drink alone. I was annoyed. I expected another Bridget Jones. I wanted to abandon it right away. Yet i was equally eager to try. Glad i did

Because Eleanor is not Bridget!!!

Very often we judge people based on how they look, dress, interact and so on. Therefore extroverts make more friends and poor introverts remain alone. It's like the adage - rich gets richer and poor gets poorer. Loneliness is neither an option or choice for introverts; it's a way of life for them. But that doesn't mean they don't like people or appreciate friendship, warmth and care. Eleanor is one such person. She is always alone. People steer clear of her, categorising as wierd? Nerd? But as we know her more deeply, we understand what a hero she is!

More so because Eleanor doesn't see herself as a victim or survivor. She just thinks she is fine. Normal. That's where I fell in love with her. I mean she let herself become a butterfly, painstakingly going through the process all by herself without complaints.

And Raymond - we all need people like Raymond. The idea of believing that there is a possibility of Raymond around makes this world appear more hopeful. I adore him. Wait... I adore everyone in this book. It's such a beautiful and positive book about what human minds are capable of. It's just soothing like lullaby that rhythmically renders - this too shall pass. Good things are on the way. Lovely people are approaching

Please please please read this book if you haven't. I read this entire book in a day. So you could imagine why i recommend or rate 5/5
