They believed in capturing moments

And sealing them in an envelope -

Where time stood still.

The smiles stayed on and,

The elixir of life was well-preserved.

Little did they know that-

Those photographs would remain as a vibrant memoir

Painting the memories that they had once shared..

And retelling stories so that it is never forgotten.

Until they were not together to share the frame anymore.

Real photographs to just phantasmagoria was painful indeed.

But at least there was still something to hold onto -

At times when there was no shoulders to cry on

Or lap to rest one's throbbing head.

Or simply to joke about life in general.

Photographs captures the moment indeed.

It also holds the secret key to peace -

When there is void.

It exhibits the times shared together

And promises that they won't be forgotten.
