Vishu Time

A day when the World wakes up before the Sun does…
Not with the help of alarm clock… But awakened by someone elder to us…
It may be our parents… Brother… Sister... Grandparents…. Spouse…
They would lead us towards the vishu kani…
Holding us tightly….
Oh… Their touch makes us feel their love…
How true? Isn’t that an indirect means of our elders saying that they will always be there for us…
That they will hold us tight in case of difficulties…

Then…
Open eyes to see the enchantingly arranged Vishu kani…
There will be a mirror behind it…

And there comes the most interesting part of vishu…
Vishu Kaineettam!!!
I love that…
It makes me think about how to expend it…
Thankfully… Over a past few years I have made it a practice to buy a watch out of such money…
This year is not an exception at all!!!

Then…
New dress…
Temple visits…
Get together with friends and family…
Lavish meals…
Loads of special programs in television…

A weekend spent amazingly!!!
