Withered Lily...



While cleaning the room
She found out something special
A withered lily

Her eyes welled with joy
It was a gift from her love
When he said, "Love you"

    beautiful and sad! I still keep have the rose my love gave me, well she did not give it as a show of love but as a show of friendship. I still have it. Yes. eyes well up on sight of such flowers. I loved this haiku. Thank you.

    I don't find sadness there because I am sure love has not withered away...because it doesn't..rather it can't.. and lily can't stay forever but one can go back in the moment to enjoy the fragrance..
