And I am eagerly waiting for downpour…
Let the blazing Sun take rest…
Let the drizzles spread warmth and love…
Let it take away the frustration…
Let it accompany during loneliness…
Let it transform into our playmate…
Last month was
great… Full of haiku… Made lots of friends and learnt a lot. It taught me rather
strongly that perceptions differ. There was only a single topic. Yet each
person had different interpretation for it. And I enjoyed that thoroughly.
I have to
thank Leo of Haiku Heights for bringing so many bloggers in one forum and
uniting them poetically.
Now… Let me deeply
exhale. At this juncture, I am feeling at peace.
It seems quite
unusual though I know the reason too well.
Yes. I am
recovered from the Haiku fever.
I was indeed
enjoying in the beginning. Well, I enjoyed the journey. But there were times
when I felt as if I am just not talking to myself... As if I was participating
in some marathon and trying to keep up my pace to give strict competition to
others... In that process, my crazy mind didn’t find enough time and space to
muse… To draw poems… Or to come up with tales! There was no bickering or an
opportunity to post my kolam.
And finally,
today, a new month has dawned and I could feel my frustration receding.
I am not
complaining or cribbing…
Think about it…
We all will be
super-excited when our relatives announce that they are coming home for
vacations. We plan and relentlessly make arrangements. We go to any extent to
ensure that they are given special attention. Finally, when they come, we try
to spend as much time as possible with them. We take them out for luncheons and
dinners. We buy them special gifts. We secretly wait for their gifts. But, if
they stay a little too long, our routine will get disrupted. We feel as if our
independence is snatched and that we are trapped in our own home.
And in similar
lines…. I felt overjoyed when the April challenge was announced. I went through
the topics. I planned. I observed. I posted a haiku every day. Yay! Didn’t miss a day J I
dropped on other’s blogs and stopped to post a comment. And I also patiently
waited for others comments. Each of their comments brought a wide smile in my
face. Wow! However, towards the end, I started feeling estranged. I missed my
independence.
Ha! I am happy
now… This little nest in blogospheres is mine now!
Anyways… No
regrets… I just missed my lengthy muses a little too much.
So looking
forward for Month filled with an overload of my lengthy muses!!!
Between… Its
May 1st… And I wish each one of you a Happy Labor’s day.
Why don’t we
say “Thank you” for people who take care of us… That auto-walla… That hotel
server… That lift operator… Apartment care taker… Laundry-walla… Milk man…
Newspaper boy… And so many others! They make our life simple. Their service
never fails to bring a smile in our face. So why don’t we, at least for a day,
try to bring smile in their face?
Hey wait…. Hug
your family… You don’t really have to say anything. That touch has the
capability to speak the unspoken. Take that extra effort to make the special
ones in life feel special!
May “May” be
full of memorable events…
Happiness… And
laughter!!! J
