No Me; No You

I see the waves
Coming from different sides
Travelling so long
To cuddle each other
Then entwine enticingly
And merge together to become one

Then I see us
Coming from different backgrounds
Travelling so long
To meet each other
Then entwine enticingly
And merge together to become one

Oh!
How similar we and waves are
We both travel so far
To find our love
To embrace happiness
To succumb to each other
And for a happily ever after

Then, amazingly
There will be no me; no you
Only us
And our love
Which only multiplies
With each passing years

  4. How lovely, to see the coming together of waves make one ocean. A wonderful metaphor for true love.

  7. Even with your last stanza, I still read into sweet poem a positive ideal of "KNOW me, KNOW you.... truly universal!

  9. I am having trouble commenting on your site, kiddo. Will try again. It doesnt seem to be publishing it. Everything in the universe is on a path to find the Other, that one or thing that will help make it complete. I enjoyed your poem.
