A World of Our Own!

In a world of my own
I am connected to people
Every second. Every day
But, it’s a virtual world.

I crave for a companion.
I long for compassion.
I wish for a calming glance.
I pine for a comforting touch.

But, it’s just a virtual world.
There is no one beside me.
No one to fight with me.
Just no one!

I am tangled in a mesh…
Knotted by people.
But they don’t care about my world.
Like me, they are in their own too!

    Ah, the virtual world definitely cannot replace the real world...but through it one can also find 'real' people as well.

      I meant specifically the several friends we have in FB... Not all would be available at 3AM when we would need them! But I do agree with what you said.

    I agree - my online friends are as real and cherished as any other........but I remember when I was younger that very normal longing for a companion. Keep the intention out there and your heart open, and someone will wander in. Smiles.

    I think one can still find comfort in a virtual world - while searching for connection in the other world of reality..either world can still be lonely but, sometimes the unexpected happens and magic opens doors unseen.
