Happy Maattu Pongal ☺

Today being Maattu Pongal…
At home, we begin our day by keeping food for the crow…
And, I have never failed to notice one thing…
The unity between the crows…
Have anyone seen a crow eating all the food all by itself??
They always believe in sharing.
A crow will do caw-caw for innumerous times…
And, it is ready to do that for unlimited time!!
But, never eats alone!!!

But look at us… The man kind – the greatest of God’s creations!!!
Even if we get a piece of chocolate, we don’t share…
We always want everything and never intend to give anything…
Look at the crow…
They share and enjoy their little findings together!

Now, think about how we eat our breakfast… lunch or dinner for that matter…
We are always in a hurry… We don’t even bother to check if other has had as well.
We don’t even bother to check if the other has anything at all left /has to eat!!!
Else, we are so much engrossed in a television program or a telephonic conversation that we don’t feel the need to take food with others!!

Alas!!!
This is the pathetic condition of God’s greatest of creations.
We are complicating our lives.
We are not even trying to be with people.
Yet, endless, mindlessly rather, complaining that we are alone…
That we have nobody caring and loving enough!!
I mean… Do we care or love others enough?
Do we care or love at all??
Aren’t we so self-obsessed??

Come on…
Come out of your shell…
Sharing and togetherness paves way to divinity…
It leads to satisfaction… Happiness…
Be with people…

Learn from the crows.
There is nothing wrong or self-depleting about it.
It’s fine to learn good things; from whomever it may be.
Understand that nobody is inferior or superior.
Understand that we are not superior to anyone!
And hey… remember??
It is said that our deceased ancestors come to home in the form of crows to ensure that their family are all pink and happy.
So… Realise that it is our ancestors teaching us the most important aspect for life!!
The aspect of love, sharing and togetherness!!!

I may be saying this for the nth time now…
But nothing bad in repeating!
Life is too short…
Enjoy it to the fullest…
Enjoyment can reach its peak only if you are with others…With family and loved ones!!!
Add as many memories as possible…
Start this Tamizh New Year with that in mind
