My Thoughts
I think I should begin this review with a disclaimer… That I generally don’t watch English movies… And in spite of that, I have managed to watch Spiderman 1. Being a 3D film, I was excited too; like a kid! Therefore, needless to say, I went to the theater with a child-like enthusiasm.

The opening scene charmed me. It was well choreographed and seemed so real. Slowly, as the movie progressed, it seemed more like a story of Peter’s love for Gnew than Spiderman’s desperate and heroic efforts to implant hope in the minds of people. The climax seemed to be never ending and stretched. The fight sequence with three villains one after the other tired me, instead of exciting me. As an audience, I felt bored! I also wished that the 3D effect could have been used more. Those eye-closing moments were very few, I would say.

Having said that, I enjoyed the scenes between Peter and his aunt were brilliant. The dialogs are smart and most of the times, brought laughter or smiles at least. I also liked the transformation of Max. My thumbs to the dialog writer.

In short, the movie might not charm you. But, it will help you kill times.
