Scared I Am…

Scared I am…
As I wait for your reply.
Never have I felt like this
A silent prayer never stops in the back of my mind.
I pray that you say what I anticipate
I wish that you become mine
In all the ways
In more than one way
Hurt me not!
Leave me not…

  3. It is hard to take such a risk. Your poem expresses this well. I do hope that your risk is rewarded!

  4. You have captured well the fear, angst and joy of caring.

  5. That is asking a bit too much, I mean pleading a bit too much. Is that warranted?

    1. In love, almost everything is warranted...
As they say, all is fair in love and war...

      Thanks Anil :)

  6. Love. The thoughts not said and ALMOST unthought, because the voice knows. Knows deeply.

  7. The apprehension is palpable in your words. In fact I felt a little nervous for the speaker and her slight hesitancy.

  10. Yup! Put another quarter in the slott...hang on... eeh haw... who knows? "I may ride this mechanical bull long enough to get off walking, and, holding someone's hand" :-)
I thought you did well snagging that whiskful theme.

  11. I often feel this way too . . . the reply can never come fast enough and when there is delay a thousand what-ifs fill your head. The hardest is to remain aloof and practical so as to try and mollify the possibility of disappointment that will undoubtedly hammer your self esteem should the dream eventually die. I wish you the best!

    1. You said it right... The uncertainty and fear...
      The doubts and desires...
      Thanks!
