High-Octane

A singer whose voice sounded strained
Endured the pain and entertained
Crowds cheered and danced to his tune
He hoped that the show would end soon
As he struggled to ensure that high-octane is maintained

  2. When the singer was told,
that his octaves were no longer bold
    alas he felt too old,
and the tickets - lesser were they sold!

  3. Painful the struggle must have been
As he tried manfully to keep it unseen
With the happy audience loudly cheering
While the kitty was fast filling with day's offering
