She Searched

Where did his memories go?
Those memories that gave her tears
Those which hurt her
May be her heart was too hurt to think about him more
May be the time to move on had come
That little voice that gave hope remained silent
Astonishingly, that silence didn’t scare her
Instead it amazed her
And she felt happy!
She felt free…
Free from the shackles of past!

    1. And, is it so easy as said, I wonder...
If that happens, everything would look so robotic!

  6. Past indeed is a cruel master... but at the end of the struggle to escape its clutches, we encounter freedom and joy such as we've never known. A lovely and hopeful poem.
