Stagnant Water

A free flowing water it was...

Sometimes from the cliff...
Unmindful of the rough rocks
And thorny plants.

Sometimes like a serene river...
Bringing wholesomeness
And reflecting each other.

Sometimes like the mighty ocean...
So vast and deep
And waves hinting the passion we shared.

A free flowing water it was...
I recall my dear friend...

But today...

It's just a stagnant water...
Dirty and futile.

Echoing the glory of bygone.

  6. This is just fabulous. Each line so deep. I am surprised that we both think alike more than once, I did a painting on a similar thought called finding its way !

  7. Sometime life reflects through the stagnant water… like memories stored inside.
Btw. The stagnant water becomes dirty and futile is depends on the environment.

  11. Quite symbolic really. Sad when that fresh water turns stagnant. And sad when a relationship changes as well...I think one can't help yearning for what once was.

  12. it's sad when a free flowing stream opens into some stagnant water body instead of the ocean...what it might have been and what it became...sad end of a relationship...

  13. I wonder how many times we are filled with stagnant water... and it only takes a small amount to spoil all the fresh water.

  14. Oh the contrast is striking.....we need a big fresh wind of Change to blow across it and clear the muddy waters!!! Smiles.

  15. Even stagnant water has a history, and I like how you read it here. All along I wanted to know the possibility of return, all along I hoped for renewal.
