She looked at the image again. She
had to write a micro-fiction based on it. So, she gazed at it. The pebbles
attracted her attention.
It conveys a deep meaning, she
thought. There were many pebbles in it. But anyone would notice the golden pebbles
only. That is why it is imperative to be different.
Each one of us is different physically,
mentally and emotionally. Yet, we try to be like others. We strive to follow
others and please those around us. In that process, we lose our originality. We
lose ourselves.
She sighed. After all, she was no
different!

And if we try to be different and everyone else does too, are we the same? :-) (Too little sleep possibly at my end of this!!) Interesting thoughts to start the day.

A very reflective take on the prompt.
ReplyDeleteYou will be assimilated...if you don't make yourself different. Trying to be different is a way we can make ourselves stand out.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tribute to the community. We are all like shining pebbles. I like that.
ReplyDeleteAs well, we polish each other. If you stay isolated, you stay sharp and pointy. Great piece.
