“Agnes, don’t run. Come, hold my
hands”, Ashley told to her six years old daughter.
But Agnes was not ready to listen. She was enjoying the theme park; a world free
from the sounds of honks... bustling
vehicles... busy people.
She was giggling as Ashley chased
her.
Then, she stood frozen with a
death-stuck face.
Ashley found silent tears kissing
her girl’s cheeks. She pondered for reasons. A giant insect model grabbed
her attention.
Ashley walked towards the insect model
and hit it.
Agnes smiled and kissed her mother.
Then wiping the tears she started walking holding her mother’s hand.
Mother makes everything better. For a while anyway. Nicely done.
