Alone I Feel...

Alone I feel...

Why silence is echoing around...
Where did your laughter vanish?

Those little eyes were my source of light...
Now I am in dark.

My fingers are missing the silk of your hair...
Now those little joys are not anymore...

A tear escapes my eyes. ..
The very eyes that used to drink your charm!

At last I try to sleep...
To catch you in dreams and hug you tight...
But sleep fails to kiss me...

Where are you?

To cuddle me...
To embrace me…

Let me feel the heaven in your arms...
Let me drift to sleep in the cradle of your chest...

Where are you?

Starry night is not beautiful anymore...
Missing those twinkling eyes...

Velvety sky is not enticing anymore...
Missing your tickling think hair...

Oh! I wish I could sleep and see you in dreams....

Where are you?

Alone I feel...

  7. Pathos plus. The loss of (or lack of) a cuddle is immensely sad.

  10. You certainly get used to the touch, the scent and warmth of a loved one.

  11. there is a sadness beyond just being loneliness...perhaps i feel a bit of fear that they dont know where the other is...and they are truly missing....which lacks hope...or threatens the hope they will ever see each other again

  13. I remember that feeling of losing the beauty of the night sky, after love was lost. It does come back though, in time....

  14. Your longing is remarkably portrayed in your poem. I smiled as I read it to myself on this sunny day here in Maryland. You've won me over.
