I wait for you
Wondering
Why am I waiting?
Yet...
I am still waiting
Hoping that the wait will be over
Sooner or later
I wait for you
Because I still love you
But, I don’t know
I really don't!
If the love would remain
When you come back
It might be too late
Wait is painful, but then at times, it does give us hope :-)
ReplyDeleteVery true...
DeleteThanks Amrit :)
Waiting means hoping. It will come true.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too...
DeleteThanks SG :)
Love has the power to make someone come back :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes, love is not enough...
DeleteThanks Pooja :)
I'm not too much a fan of love poems, but this one is very to-the-point and well crafted. Good work.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Anna.
DeleteReally happy that you liked this :)
Oh I have been to this place of waiting...I hope the love remains.

Ah! Thats the risk.
DeleteThanks Donna :)
Argh. That is a painful state to be in. I remember, the uncertainty, the not knowing, still, the love...........you have captured it exactly.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sherry...
DeleteHappy that you related to it :)
Waiting is suffering. What are the chances that he or she may have cheated along the way? Just sit tight, pray, and listen to your heart. Whatever your heart tells you to do or what it seems, you must follow it. Seek advice from relatives. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteWhat you said is so true.
DeleteThanks James.
sometimes i don't understand why they keep us waiting.. sometimes it kills that love that you had.
ReplyDeleteI cant agree more.
DeleteThanks Natasa :)
This is thought provoking. I do think sometimes we find ourselves waiting; and we wonder if, what we were waiting for would come to pass, if it would really work out the way we had hoped. A thoughtful write.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mary...
Deleteseldom is true love recognized in life-a true waiting poem'
ReplyDeleteThanks Anjum :)
DeleteThe sense of waiting is very acutely felt in your poem, not just the wait itself but the questions and anxiety it causes as time goes on and on.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gabriella :)
DeleteIt is all about relaxing in a relationship. If it is over there is the temptation to be different to attract someone else and that takes effort!
ReplyDeleteActually yes.
DeleteThanks:)
How I wish we could learn from each other's experience instead of learning these things ourselves. Some of us can wait, but some cannot. Waiting makes my teeth ache--unless I'm in meeting for worship waiting on God (but even then I can get antsy with this "what if.") Nice poem.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I feel the same.
DeleteI hate waiting.
Thanks :)
Ah... to be or not to be? That is the question. Well put!

Thanks :)
Delete'sometimes it be that way.' this reminded me of jewel, and her song. love is a difficult thing...a tug of war, and sometimes both parties end up losing. i really enjoyed your poem.

Deleteit very well could be too late....but that hope keeps us waiting...
ReplyDeleteand if it does not work...it can def sting realizing how much time
we wasted...
And that hope is a demon sometimes.
DeleteThanks Brian :)
It might be, but then again, it might not :) One can know only after the wait ends, one way or another. Nice poem, S.
ReplyDeleteYou said it rightly Vinay.
DeleteThanks :)
I just read this after watching "Castle" so fitting. Well written.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteWaiting is painful for sure. But not knowing whether to wait or move on is even more painful, loved those lines"I wait for u, wondering, why I'm waiting?"
ReplyDeleteWaiting is torturous.
DeleteThanks a lot.
