The Waiting

I wait for you
Wondering
Why am I waiting?
Yet...
I am still waiting
Hoping that the wait will be over
Sooner or later

I wait for you
Because I still love you
But, I don’t know
I really don't!
If the love would remain
When you come back
It might be too late

  6. Argh. That is a painful state to be in. I remember, the uncertainty, the not knowing, still, the love...........you have captured it exactly.

  7. Waiting is suffering. What are the chances that he or she may have cheated along the way? Just sit tight, pray, and listen to your heart. Whatever your heart tells you to do or what it seems, you must follow it. Seek advice from relatives. Good luck!

  9. This is thought provoking. I do think sometimes we find ourselves waiting; and we wonder if, what we were waiting for would come to pass, if it would really work out the way we had hoped. A thoughtful write.

  11. The sense of waiting is very acutely felt in your poem, not just the wait itself but the questions and anxiety it causes as time goes on and on.

  12. It is all about relaxing in a relationship. If it is over there is the temptation to be different to attract someone else and that takes effort!

  13. How I wish we could learn from each other's experience instead of learning these things ourselves. Some of us can wait, but some cannot. Waiting makes my teeth ache--unless I'm in meeting for worship waiting on God (but even then I can get antsy with this "what if.") Nice poem.
